Teach Money to your students with this fun Grocery Game Unit.

Practice counting money, adding, subtracting and multiplying using grocery ads and coupons.

Ways to use this unit study:

  1. Create a meal plan using the grocery ads and then add up the cost of that meal.
  2. Use the grocery lists to practice counting, multiplying, adding, and subtracting.
  3. Create a grocery list and have your student figure out the cost of the meal.
  4. Give your student a budget and have them work through “purchasing” all the items they can with the money provided.
  5. Plan a pretend special occasion meal ie. birthday, Thanksgiving, anniversary and have your student create a grocery list and budget with the available ads.
  6. Use the different scenarios in the game to have students work independently with the ads  provided.
  7. Use the coupons and printed money to create new scenarios and have students work through them.
  8. Using the printed money, coupons and grocery pictures create a meal plan and practice purchasing items.
